IRS Rеfund Stimulus Chеck is a form of direct government payment that are given to citizens who need financial help. These payments are designed to reduce the stress on certain groups of people in times of economic hardship and to stimulate the economy by encouraging spending. Some states have started to provide their citizens with a 4th Stimulus check, as well as other types of financial assistance.

A fourth round of direct payments from the federal government isn’t likely, given sky-high inflation and other factors. But some lawmakers are already calling for a fourth round of state-level aid. Here’s what you need to know about that.

Is a 4th Stimulus check coming?

The first round of direct payments from the federal government began rolling out in March 2020 under the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act. Those checks were worth up to $1,200 for individuals and their dependents. A second round was sent out in December of 2021, and a third round was distributed in March 2022 under the American Rescue Plan.

These direct payments were intended to ease the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Americans. But they weren’t meant to solve the problem forever, and they are set to expire in 2024 and 2026.

The current plan to help ease the effects of the virus is called Build Back Better. It includes a range of measures that could help people, including a new round of direct payments and monthly advance child tax credits. But it won’t include a fourth stimulus check, and more negotiating seems inevitable before the human infrastructure bill gets passed.
