Johannsson Yates is an up-and-coming musician who has been making waves in the music industry. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Johannsson began playing the piano at a young age and quickly developed a passion for music. He went on to study classical music at the University of Southern California, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory and Composition.
Johannsson’s career began with small gigs around Los Angeles before he was signed by a major record label. His first album, “The Journey,” was released in 2019 and featured a mix of jazz, blues, and soul influences. The album was well-received by critics and fans alike, earning him several awards including Best New Artist at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
